Individual Counseling

Each person is unique, and resolving the underlying causes of your mood and/or anxiety disorder requires an in-depth, personalized analysis.
1
We'll start with your personal story and then build a detailed picture of current health status by reviewing previous medical history and labs; family history; medication and supplement history; and diet and lifestyle habits. Specialty lab testing may also be used to further clarify imbalances.
2
After a thorough analysis, we'll work together to create a customized action plan to address your specific needs and circumstances. Areas of focus may include food and supplements, eating behavior support, physical activity targets, stress management techniques, and sleep strategies.
3
In follow up sessions we'll reevaluate the plan and make adjustments as needed to optimize change. Fundamental to the program's success are education, ongoing support and monitoring, and therapeutic collaboration with medical and behavioral health practitioners as needed.
Frequently asked questions

Testimonials
"I struggle with my relationship with food because I am not happy with my appearance. The process has helped me open up more about food and how I feel. Having calm discussions instead of lectures is also a better way for me to handle difficult situations. I don’t feel judged for the things I open up about."
L.O., 15
"I am grateful for all the support my daughter has had since starting with Food for Mood. We have seen positive results due to weekly sessions. Teenagers are hard to connect with and Cyndi does a great job creating a safe space for my daughter."
Mom
"I wanted to work on my relationship with food due to anxiety. I liked being able to take things at my own pace through challenges to work on each week. The process is very individualized and does not solely focus on food. Your goals are targeted holistically and are aligned with your values."
C.C., 25
"I was trying to understand the impacts of nutrition on how I was feeling. Every week, Cyndi and I tackled a particular issue, and made specific recommendations to alter and augment eating habits in moderate and attainable ways. By making simple changes I made big gains."
